I Couldn't Say No!

I recently found the entire Nicole by OPI collection by Selena Gomez. I'm a sucker for creamy colors and glitter so I have somehow accumulated the entire collection with the exception of the yellow (Hit the Lights) and the gold glitter (Kissed at Midnight.)

So far, I'm loving the formula of the colors I have tried. I couldn't wait to do full manis so I tried one different color combo on each finger. LOL. I decided to go with Long Song for my first mani from this collection. It's a gorgeous light purple. It's similar to Essie's Play Date but a bit darker. I love it!!

Here she is in the shade.
I *think* this would be described as a cr-elly. It's not a jelly and not a creme.
The formula was a dream to work with. This is 2 coats of Love Song.
This shot is in the Alabama sun. Look at Stars at Night (in my hand) sparkle!
One more in the shade. It's such a pretty color. I have lots of lavender and light purple polish in my collection but none of them are dupes of this one. I say Winner Winner Chicken Dinner on this one!

And for fun I had to toss in the puppy too. LOL

He's looking at you! Now do ya'll forgive me for neglecting my blog? My hands were kinda full of adorable puppies and sick kiddos. But I won't go all MIA again. Thanks for hanging in here with me today as I try to get you caught up. I can't get over how much my nails have grown!! It almost seems unreal to know these are the same nails I chewed til they bled only a few months ago!! I appreciate ya'll for helping me to get and keep them in tip top shape. :-) Have a very happy and safe New Year!!

NailNation 3000, I love you! I really love you!

I want to start by saying, ya'll know I have this obsession with holo polishes and I own up to my addiction to them. It all started with a bottle of Hits No Olimpo. From there, it has kinda snowballed. I have tried Jade, Layla, UP Colors, GOSH and several other brands of holographic polish. I never knew real love until I tried my first NailNation polish. Maria, the very talented artist behind this brand, is a true sweetheart. I LOVE doing business with her. Her polishes are second to none. The formula on every single color I've tried (which is more than ten I think. LOL) is pure perfection. The holographic beauty is just stunning. I haven't found a color that Maria makes that I don't like. :-) Without further ado, I bring you a couple more of her polish colors.

Say hello to Soriya. It's a dark teal holo with fine silver holo glitters. In person this one reminds me of a beautiful night sky with stars shining all around. I went for one coat of Dollish Polish Heart of Glass over the top for an accent nail. Can you ever have too much holo? I think not. LOL
 Isn't she beautiful?
Maria's polishes are a dream come true for this holo ho. LOL
It's impossible to capture all of the rainbows these polishes throw off.
No, I'm not drunk. I kept this one blurry so ya'll can see the rainbow.

Up next, I have one of my favorite polishes EVER!! This is called 4get Me Not! And you won't find a prettier dark pink (magenta) holo than this one. Even in the shade, it's gorgeous. I'll let the pictures do the talking. I had no sunlight so I just went snap-happy with my flash and artificial light.

I will be wearing this color again on the next sunny day we have here in Alabama. I also want to get pictures of Vincenzo and Max-a-Million so watch
out for those coming soon.

I hope you have enjoyed these colors as much as I have. They really remind me of rainbows and I love me some rainbows. I captured this strange rainbow that was a circle in the sky on the day of Kyler's party. There had been no rain so this was a total surprise. I tell the kids it's my daddy's gift to them. :-)

Can you see it? The pictures aren't sideways. This is how it looked in the sky. :-)

So there ya'll have it. I am officially in love with Nailnation. You can get yours through Maria's Facebook page here: NailNation. You can also get her polish from my favorite site ever, Llarowe. Stay tuned for more swatches from this brand and many others. Thanks for stopping in and come back soon.

Bad Blogger!! Catching Ya'll Up!

I know, I know! I'm a bad girl. I have been so crazy busy since my last blog post. Let's see what all has went down. My son turned 4 on Dec. 3rd.

He's so silly. His name is Kyler and he's a mess!

Our mama dog, Allie, had a hard time giving birth to her puppies on the night of Kyler's birthday. So I got my hands (and nails) dirty. The holiday nail challenge was forgotten when my dog started acting all crazy. So I helped bring a couple of these little guys into the world. Mama dog is doing perfect and babies are now 3 weeks old.

We all caught the news-worthy stomach bug that was going around. My little girl seems to bring everything home from school. Bless her heart.
Kaylynn. She's Mama's little silly princess. :-)

And now what you're here for... the nails! I've been taking plenty of pictures. :-) Here is a mani from Dec. 2nd. It's Hits No Olimpo Dionisio. It's gotten thick on me but I still love it!

This is my new favorite brand of polish. It's NailNation 3000. Pictured below is my Kizmit manicure. I love all holos. Maria had me at "holo" LOL. This is a quad holo with little silver holo glitters and fine green glitter. ;-) It's a beauty!

I have more pictures of manicures coming up in my next post. You will be seeing more NailNation and, as always, more holo. LOL. Thank ya'll for stopping by. Please come back real soon. :-) I promise to not leave my girls hanging again if the good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise.

SMYTC Holiday Nail Art Challenge: Red and Green

Hey ya'll! Sorry I've left my nail gals hanging but it's been a crazy few weeks for this mama. I have decided that in order to really get into the Christmas spirit I will be joining a fantastic group of bloggers in the SMYTC Holiday Nail Art Challenge. We will be posting pictures every other day with different Christmas themes.

Today I was having a hard time deciding how I was going to incorporate red and green. I just do not dig those colors together. I even decorate my tree in blue and silver so it's just not my favorite combo.

So I decided to try my hand at some free hand nail art. Don't laugh, ya'll!!
On my thumb I have a wreath, middle finger is a Christmas Tree (if you can call it that. LOL) and my pinkie finger was an attempt at a gift with bow on it. :-)

Here's the closeup of the Christmas tree. My undies are the stunning Essie Leading Lady. My index and ring fingers have a 12k white gold top coat from Ninja Polish. In this one the flakes are smaller than He Went to Jarred but both of these gold tops are to die for!!!

This is supposed to be a wreath. LOL. Yes, I need much more practice on my freehand painting. I will get there, ya'll. A few months ago I didn't have nails at all so one step at a time for this reformed biter.
There you have it folks! It's my red and green manicure. I hope you'll stick with me and check back during the challenge. I will be pushing myself to get better every single time I paint these babies.

And of course, you can the beautiful red and green manis of my SMYTC nail goddesses on their blogs. Link is below. ;-)

My 1st Teal/Green Holo! Color Club Halo Hue Angel Kiss

Hey ya'll! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have for you another Color Club Halo Hues stunner. This one is Angel Kiss. This is my first teal or minty green holo polish. I absolutely adore it! The formula for these polishes are fantastic. These pictures are shown with 2 thin coats and they're fully opaque. I won't ramble for too long and will let the pictures do the talking.

I couldn't choose just one or two or even three pictures. So spam coming at ya!
This is taken in the bright Alabama sun!
You can see the other end of the rainbow spectrum here with more blues and purples showing from this angle.
Beware! You may not want to drive on a sunny day wearing these colors. You will be staring at these babies all day long. It's hard to not look at them.
I hope the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is full of holographic polish!
 OOoooooooOOOOooooo. (For my SMYTC girls)

She's proud to show off her label!

Her rear-end is a sight to behold!

And here's the minty green goodness in the shade. So unique!

The bottle in the shade. :-) AHHHH!
Back to the sun because I can't resist more rainbow shots!
I've been drooling over many of the holographic polishes that are so expensive I'd have to sell my car to buy them. But that search is over. I'll never whine again for the China Glaze OMG collection (though I'd be thrilled to own those too. LOL.) Never will be upset because I can't the OPI DS holos. These colors are PACKED with the linear holo that I'm in love with. So if you want a fantastic holo polish collection that won't break the bank, check these out.

You can get yours from Harlow & Co.Head2Toe Beautytransdesign.com and shopcolorclub.com.

Have you tried this collection? What are you favorites? Leave me a comment and let me know which colors you want or have tried. Which collection should I go for next?

I'm in Holographic Heaven with Color Club Cloud Nine and Blue Heaven!

Hey ya'll! Let me start by admitting that  I have a crazy fascination with rainbows. I have always loved to watch them until they just fade back into the sky with all of their majestic beauty. So I guess that is why I immediately fell in love with holographic nail polish. I can sit and watch the little tiny rainbows shift back and forth on my fingers. AHHH! I just love them. You can imagine the joy I felt when I opened my mailbox and found three of the new Color Club Halo Hues colors there. I got Cloud Nine, Blue Heaven and Angel Kiss. They are all stunning!

For this mani, I alternated with Blue Heaven and Cloud Nine. Pink and blue are the ribbon colors for Squamous Cell Carcinoma awareness so it was perfect for me. Without further ado, say hello to my new favorite polishes!!

Index and ring finger have Blue Heaven. Middle, pinkie and thumb were Cloud Nine.
The picture above was as close as I come to getting the rainbows tamed enough to see the true colors of the polish. I am not kidding when I say that even in the shade you can still it's holographic goodness. :-)
In the sun.... OMG! They're more beautiful than Edward on his best day. LOL

These pictures show two coats. The formula is a dream to work with. My first ever Color Club and I think I am a fan for life. It's not a fussy polish like some of the other holos I have.
Bottle shot of Cloud Nine! *Wipes drool.*

I also added a Kiss Nails nail strip to one of my fingers for a quick accent nail. The beautiful black lace is so feminine with just the right amount of sparkle on them. The best part is you can still see the color of the undies I have on. :-)

Just in case you weren't convinced, here they are under some really bad indoor lighting from my tabletop lamp. You can STILL see the gorgeous holo happiness on my fingers. This doesn't happen often with this lighting so this really is something special.

I guess that is enough picture spam for this post. I have tons more. I just could not stop clicking the camera. It was seriously unbelievable to me. So if you are looking for a great holo polish that doesn't break the bank, you should try the Color Club Halo Hues. There are six colors in this collection. I have Angel Kiss to swatch for you tomorrow. It's a TO DIE FOR teal/greenish holo. So stay tuned for more picture spam tomorrow. Have a good evening. HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY! Thank you to all of the men and women out there that are serving and have served our fantastic country. Thank you to the people that love those soldiers too.

You can get your Color Club Halo Hues from Harlow & Co. and a couple of other sites. I will update with all stores available when I get the kiddies down for the night. :-)

November 8 No H8

Bullying is not funny. It is not cool. It is not right. And more importantly, it is not okay.
Most of us are, thankfully, residents of countries that support tolerance and many of our families have settled in these places simply for that reason. Generations later, it is our responsibility to perpetuate that message of tolerance across our new social platforms, including the internet.

As members of the nail polish blogging community, we all share a love of beauty, color, and lacquer. Other than that, we are remarkably different: from our race to our religion to our hair color...even to our polish application techniques. To marginalize anyone because of those differences is completely unacceptable and today I take a stand against that. I refuse to allow other people's view of "normal" dictate how I behave, believe, and blog.

In solidarity with a multitude of bloggers linked below, my purple manicure represents my proud commitment to the No H8 movement. Today, November 8, I dedicate my post to ending bullying of any kind and to encouraging diversity and imperfection among our colorful community.

<3 Today I wear this gorgeous purple (from this angle. LOL) polish to take a stand against bullying of any kind, anywhere to anyone. No one, young or old, should have to deal with the immediate and after effects of being bullied! It's unfair and we have to stand up and let everyone know that we are NOT okay with this. Not now. Not ever!
Enchanted Polish Magical Mystery Tour

See her shifty beauty?
Yes, check out the stunning holographic perfection.
I know you want yours so I'll stop teasing you now.

You have until 12:00am on November 9th to buy your favorite purple and be helping out a great cause.
