Orly Sparkling Garbage! My new favorite Orly.

Good Morning, ya'll!

I know I've gone MIA again but things are still going pretty badly for my sweet little girl. But I just HAD to show you this gorgeous polish from the Orly Mash Up collection. I usually don't do green but when I saw Sparkling Garbage at Sally's, it was yelling, "Hey, you, look at me! Bring me home with you." Okay maybe it wasn't really talking but it may as well have been saying those words. It's a holographic glitter so you know I couldn't pass it up.

These were my Mother's Day nails. I have on a base of Color Club Angel Kiss. I put one coat of Sparkling Garbage on my index and ring fingers. Two coats on the middle and pinkie. This polish is chock full of glitter so you could make it opaque in 2-3 coats and have your nails looking like jewels! I know you're ready for the pictures so here you go...
This was taken in the beautiful Alabama sun. Do you see the holo goodness in Sparkling Garbage?

Sparkling Garbage can also be added on top of pretty much any color to give it that stunning holographic shimmer. I tried it over purple since I wore this manicure and it's just as pretty over that.

I was so happy to find such a pretty color that is readily available to the public.

Again, from left to right, we have one coat of Sparkling Garbage over  Color Club Angel Kiss on that first finger. Then  it's two coats on the second. One on the third and 2 on the fourth.

You can't see the base color through the two coats so that gives you an idea of what this gem looks like with no undies.

Look at the rainbow shimmer. Ahhhh, I love it!
I had to include a close up of this on polish so you can see just how packed it is with that mint colored holo glitter.
I'm not sure where all you can buy Orly Mish Mash. I know our Sally's had the entire collection. They also had the Hope and Freedom Fest collection on clearance. I snagged Melodious Utopia, Elation Generation and High On Hope with my birthday coupon! (SCORE!) Stay tuned to see my swatches of those.

I hope ya'll enjoyed my sparkle and shine today. I'm going to attempt to post at least one post everyday this week if all goes well. Come back soon to see what other beauties I have lined up for their close ups.

NailNation 3000 Spammage! You wanna see this. (Pic heavy!!)

Hey ya'll! Sorry I've been MIA for a while. Things went downhill a bit further with  my daughter but I will post a separate post about that. For now I want to share with you some of my Nailnation manicures. This newest one was done when Maria set out a challenge for bloggers to use their favorite NN (Who can choose one?!?!?) and do a review. She'll be choosing 4 bloggers to review her newest colors. I am praying to the nail goddess that I can get one of those coveted spots. :-) So make sure you leave me some comments!

Now, onto the fun part. I started out wanting to do a dotticure (manicure covered with polka dots) but time just got away from me. So last night I pulled out my minis of the Raging Holo collection (which you need ALL of them if you ask me) and chose a few to use. I went with Glow Worm (gorgeous lime green holo that is stunning beyond words in the sun!), the summer Wow-A-Doodle and Amazeballz.

I used two coats of Glow Worm. Then I decided to to a gradient. I use the triangle makeup sponges. (These are great for galaxy nails and gradients alike. I love keeping them on hand.) I painted stripes of the colors in the order I wanted to sponge them on and went to town sponging until I got something I liked. :-) And here are the pictures for ya'll!

This was done as the sun tried to peek through the clouds.

The sun ran away but this still shows the stunning color of these polishes with or without bright light.

For fun, I went out and blasted it with artificial light so you can see just how holo Maria's polishes are. They are always a fantastic formula to work with. Seeing them looking like dazzling rainbows made me think of magic.

Just look at the sparkle. It is even prettier in sun. I will take pics in the sun very soon. It's magical! Soooo....

I thought can this get anymore magical? That is when I decided to pull out my Finger Paints Twisted which is full of multicolored rainbow flakies. When I got it on top of this manicure, I knew it was a great idea. I've been doing flakies a lot over manicures as I rarely have time for real nail art. It's my quick-fix solution to blinging up a manicure. Let's see what you think?

This is what a unicorn would wear on it's paw nails. Don't you think?

I love how the flakies glow against their beautiful holo backdrop.

Ya'll know I could leave you without sharing a few pics of Nailnation 3000 manicures I have done in the past.

Here's my first dotticure done with raging holos. The main color is Glam Bot (which I NEED a full size bottle of this one!) with accent nail of Glow Worm featuring Wow-A-Doodle, Amazeballz, Glam Bot and Awesome Sauce as the dots.

Girly Bits Promise Me meets Hardy Candy Celebrate Sequins

Hey ya'll. I know I've been slacking. Things are still way crazy with my daughter right now. We're trying to get her medication adjusted to control violent outbursts and other strange behavior. I do have a couple of pictures of her new haircut to share with ya'll. :-)

Here's Kaylynn wearing my favorite bow from Ella Bella Boutique.

Kaylynn and Kyler showing off their new real bunny (name unknown still LOL) and Kaylynn's plush bunny from the lovely Chelsea at Enchanted Polish.

Now for the fun part... Girly Bits polish!! I got Promise Me recently from a blog sale after falling head over heels in love with the formula of Girly Bits Smurf Dance. Promise Me did NOT disappoint. Here's the description from Pam at Girly Bits website:

"Promise Me is the February shade from the Calendar Girls Collection. It contains holographic and opalescent hex glitter with pin point holo glitter, floating in a sparkling pink. Soft and feminine."

I love the pink shimmer that seems to hide from the camera. It's such a soft and stunning shade of pink. So say hello to Promise Me. All pictures have 3 coats of Promise Me with an accent nail of Hard Candy's Celebrate Sequins.

You can almost see the pink shimmer in this one. Taken outdoors with very little sun.
I believe this polish would be perfect for ANYONE from age 4 to 104. It's just one of those colors that anyone could fall in love with. The glitter and shimmer give it a look unlike anything you'll find in stores.

Ballerina Girl: An Update & Limited Edition Polish

Hey ya'll!

As most of you know my sweet daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy a little over a month ago. Since that time, she has had a very rough time. She was admitted into the Children's Hospital in Birmingham for 8 days. The EEG (test measuring brain waves) showed she was having over 250 seizures in a 24 hour period. I *knew* something was horribly wrong. Luckily, the doctors there are some of the best in the country!

They discovered that Kaylynn has a very high white blood cell count in her spinal fluid. It is not, however, elevated in her blood. This left the geneticists, neurologists and even the infectious disease teams stumped. They have never even seen anything like it and are certain she has a genetic disorder and/or mutation causing her to need a very high dosage of seizure medicine to slow them down. She is now on 3 different seizure medications.

Onto the good news. She seems to be doing a little better now. She had to have her long hair cut off because it got horribly tangled after the massive amount of testing she went through. She is still having a hard time with the medicine's side effects and isn't back in school yet. We have a slew of doctor's appointments in the upcoming week and then many, many follow-ups. We also have to face the fact that there is another scary diagnosis around the corner when the genetic testing results are back.

This has changed our lives, for sure. I will never take another minute with my children for granted. You just never know what tomorrow may bring. So squeeze those you love extra tight.

Gotta love that cheesy grin. These are the pictures that inspired the polish.
Wearing her tutu and watching Alabama play. Smart, smart girl.
Isn't she a beauty?

Kaylynn and Kyler playing dress up. LOL
She makes a mess but has so much fun doing it!

Now for the polish part of this long-winded post. I have a sweet friend in a nail group that makes gorgeous nail polishes. She used Kaylynn's pictures and her love of tutus and playing "ballerina girl" and all things pink to create a Limited Edition polish aptly named "Ballerina Girl" to help our family out during this very tough time. Below are bottle shots of this stunning polish! But you gotta keep scrolling down to see the beautiful personal touch being added by Laura and her sweet mama!

Bottle shots before the big surprise at the end of this post....
Close up of the polish. This is a pink shimmer polish with different colored pink glitter. It can be worn alone or over your favorite polish to give it that pretty pink sparkle.

They are hand-drawing the labels for Ballerina Girl. Does it get any cuter than these???

You can purchase your bottle of Ballerina Girl by clicking here :-)  Don't forget to check out the other stunning polishes Laura has made while you are there. Even if you can't afford to buy the polish I'd be honored if you would go over to Laura's Facebook page (click here) and thank her for helping out our family when we need help the most. $5 from every bottle of Ballerina Girl is being donated to my family directly through paypal. Every dollar is helping so much. We were able to buy the medical alert bracelet with the first donation and will be able to get her back and forth to the 3 appointments this week without worry. I can't thank everyone enough for the kindness, love and prayers sent our way.

If you have any questions, concerns or just wanna show my Ballerina Girl some love, leave us a comment. I'll share them with Kaylynn :-) We will adding a new blog post with swatches of the polish on Kaylynn's nails and mine when our bottle arrives. Stay tuned for that. Thanks for stopping by.

An Update and Cult Nails Seduced :-)

Hey ya'll! Sorry I've not been able to blog daily. Things have been hectic here in the Nantz household. As some of you know, my daughter, Kaylynn, was recently diagnosed with Epilepsy. We've been back and forth to doctors trying to get her medication straightened out so that her seizures are under control and she can start to live and learn just like her peers do. I'm sure we've got many more hurdles before we get back to normal but I see the light at the end of the tunnel finally after 6 years of not knowing what was going on with her. :-) Now on to the nails...

Today I have for you my very first Cult Nails polish. My husband bought Seduced for me and I couldn't wait to try it out. I'm a sucker for purple, flakies and anything that shifts. This made Seduced a fantastic first Cult polish for me. It has a purple jelly base with flakies that shift from red to orange to gold to green and even blue at angles that my camera couldn't catch. It also has some little purple and/or blue flakes in it that are gorgeous in the Alabama sun! Check out these pictures I was able to capture for you.

You can see the way these flakies shift here. See the darker red on the tips as it fades to orange, gold and even green next to the cuticles.
Blurred to show the sparkle and color shift. This also shows those blue/purple flakies off on the pink , ring and pointer fingers for sure.
Do you see the purple flakies near my cutlcles? And the green shift on that middle finger?
Sorry for the crap pictures. I was in a hurry to get some before we left for the hospital in case I ruined this mani.
I have a new love for flakies after wearing Cult's Seduced. I can't wait to try more of these!
Isn't that purple base color gorgeous? These pictures show 2 coats of Cult Seduced over Pure Ice Last Chance.

Don't you love the way the flakes shift so many colors? I am really loving this polish. I can't wait to try more flakies and more Cult Nails. How do you feel about flakies? What are some of your favorite polishes that have color shifting flakes? Leave me a comment letting me know what to try next. :-) I'm always open to finding new brands and types of polish to love.

You can check out the latest news from Cult Nails on their Facebook page by clicking here :-) or start shopping for your favorite on their website by clicking here :-) Consider yourself warned that you don't want to click those links if you are on a No Buy. LOL.

Until next time, ya'll have a fantastic day!

Enchanted Across the Universe (Pic heavy)

Hey ya'll!

Today I have for you some pictures of another Enchanted Imagine (formerly Beatles) polish. This is Across the Universe. I have some pictures that are far from perfect but I wanted ya'll to see all of the colors that I was seeing with this fantastic polish. It shifts so many different colors and is a stunning blue or purple holo in the direct sunlight. Gotta love a polish that has so much to offer in any lighting! Now I'll let the pictures do the talking.

These pictures show three thin coats of ATU with no undies.

I captured the teal color of this polish with the flash but you'll have to excuse the shadow. I had to include this one so you can see this shade in the shift that you rarely see in swatches.
