An Update and Cult Nails Seduced :-)

Hey ya'll! Sorry I've not been able to blog daily. Things have been hectic here in the Nantz household. As some of you know, my daughter, Kaylynn, was recently diagnosed with Epilepsy. We've been back and forth to doctors trying to get her medication straightened out so that her seizures are under control and she can start to live and learn just like her peers do. I'm sure we've got many more hurdles before we get back to normal but I see the light at the end of the tunnel finally after 6 years of not knowing what was going on with her. :-) Now on to the nails...

Today I have for you my very first Cult Nails polish. My husband bought Seduced for me and I couldn't wait to try it out. I'm a sucker for purple, flakies and anything that shifts. This made Seduced a fantastic first Cult polish for me. It has a purple jelly base with flakies that shift from red to orange to gold to green and even blue at angles that my camera couldn't catch. It also has some little purple and/or blue flakes in it that are gorgeous in the Alabama sun! Check out these pictures I was able to capture for you.

You can see the way these flakies shift here. See the darker red on the tips as it fades to orange, gold and even green next to the cuticles.
Blurred to show the sparkle and color shift. This also shows those blue/purple flakies off on the pink , ring and pointer fingers for sure.
Do you see the purple flakies near my cutlcles? And the green shift on that middle finger?
Sorry for the crap pictures. I was in a hurry to get some before we left for the hospital in case I ruined this mani.
I have a new love for flakies after wearing Cult's Seduced. I can't wait to try more of these!
Isn't that purple base color gorgeous? These pictures show 2 coats of Cult Seduced over Pure Ice Last Chance.

Don't you love the way the flakes shift so many colors? I am really loving this polish. I can't wait to try more flakies and more Cult Nails. How do you feel about flakies? What are some of your favorite polishes that have color shifting flakes? Leave me a comment letting me know what to try next. :-) I'm always open to finding new brands and types of polish to love.

You can check out the latest news from Cult Nails on their Facebook page by clicking here :-) or start shopping for your favorite on their website by clicking here :-) Consider yourself warned that you don't want to click those links if you are on a No Buy. LOL.

Until next time, ya'll have a fantastic day!

Enchanted Across the Universe (Pic heavy)

Hey ya'll!

Today I have for you some pictures of another Enchanted Imagine (formerly Beatles) polish. This is Across the Universe. I have some pictures that are far from perfect but I wanted ya'll to see all of the colors that I was seeing with this fantastic polish. It shifts so many different colors and is a stunning blue or purple holo in the direct sunlight. Gotta love a polish that has so much to offer in any lighting! Now I'll let the pictures do the talking.

These pictures show three thin coats of ATU with no undies.

I captured the teal color of this polish with the flash but you'll have to excuse the shadow. I had to include this one so you can see this shade in the shift that you rarely see in swatches.

Enchanted has stolen my heart... again! I Am The Walrus.... ahhh (Very Pic Heavy)

Hey ya'll! I hope everyone is having a fantastic day. I was sitting staring at pictures I had taken of this mani and just had to share it with ya'll. If you've read my blog, you know how I adore holo polishes. I am also a huge fan of duo and multichromes. I mean, anything that shifts colors is just fantastic in my book. Like magic on the nails. With that being said, you can "Imagine" how I felt when I first saw Enchanted Polish's Beatles Collection (now called the Imagine collection) swatches. I fell in love immediately. This collection became the most-wanted polishes in the entire polish universe for me.

Recently a dear friend was able to use her ninja polish shopping powers (Thank you Heather!!) to snag me 3 of the 5 I didn't have. I was like a kid at Christmas opening the boxes of I Am The Walrus, Octopus Garden and Across the Universe. I couldn't decide which to wear first. Walrus was calling to me. So I'm going to spam you with pictures and spare you more of my sleepy time babbling. Just look at all of the different colors I could capture. Imagine how much nicer it is on your fingers. Ahhhh.... Have a peek at your new favorite polish. LOL

Glitter Loaded Nails for Day 3 of Erica's Challenge

Hey ya'll! First off, sorry I missed the half moon day of the challenge. I just have so much on my plate that I simply didn't realize the deadline had passed to post and link up.

But nevertheless, I am back and I have some extremely glitter packed nails for you today. I was excited about this day because I have tons of glitter polish. I was expecting this to be simple. I went through at least 20 different glitters before my husband helped me decide.

For my manicure I have used Pure Ice Private Show as my base color and Sexy Mama (again by Pure Ice) as my glitter. So without further ado, here are the pictures of my glitter loaded manicure for the challenge.

Here's the finished look. These two colors were made for one another.
I also wanted to show you what Private Show looks like solo. So here is a picture of my base color. I love that the big polish makers appear to be watching indie trends and are making those type of polishes accessible to all of us. :-) This is a black polish with lots of different colored glitter.
Now back to the loaded nails. :-) Sexy Mama is a fun multicolored glitter with a couple of different sized glitters in the mix. The colors are bright and bold. Such a fun color! It's like a party on your nails.

I wanted to try to show all of the colors that are in Sexy Mama. It's like rainbow confetti!

We all know that this wouldn't be my blog if I didn't give this mani a dose of holographic topcoat. I went for my Girly Bits Hocus Pocus. Below is what happened when I put that over my glitter packed mani....

I just love the way that this polish tosses off so many little rainbows. Ahhh!

My next mani is going to be inspired by a pattern. I'm thinking of using my tie-dye shirt as inspiration. That is a pattern, right? Check out what other manicures are coming up in the outline below. I'm also going to link you to the other fabulous glitter packed manicures. So you might wanna pull out the shades and be prepared for a bling-a-thon!

Galaxy Nails for Erica's Nail Art Challenge :-) Day 1

Today I am starting the February Nail Art Challenge being hosted by a super sweet friend of mine and nail goddess, Erica. ;-) Her blog is one of the 3 that got me really into nail art and polish. So I am going to give the challenge thing another shot!

Day one is galaxy nails. People say that this is easy to do in their tutorials. I didn't find it very easy. LOL. I asked family and friends what they looked like. When they answered "galaxies" and "the Milky Way" I thought I'd leave well enough alone. LOL.

So here is my first attempt at galaxy nails.

I used a ton of colors here. My base color is NailNation 3000 No Rest for the Wicked. It's a true black holo. I love it. I love everything Maria's makes. But, anywho, afterwards I used torn makeup sponges and dabbed on other colors. There were so many I don't even remember what they were now. Sorry, folks, maybe next time I will remember to write it down.
This in my attempt to get the card in proving I just did this. Sorry for not getting it all in there Erica.
I also used little star decals/stickers on the index and ring fingers.

And this wouldn't be MY blog without me trying to turn this mani holo. Of course, I totally pulled it off. I added one coat of Girly Bits Hocus Pocus on top. Here is glorious beauty that is a holo top coat.
Yeah, I am hooked on holo. Maybe I can get over in the future. Probably won't be the very near future though. Look at the rainbow on those nails. Ahhhhh!
Below is the outline of the challenge. So stay tuned to see how my half moon mani turns out.
Check out the other lovely ladies that have created galaxy nails. See ya'll back soon. Thanks for stopping in.
